Tokio Hotel: Our lives (from YAM!) Reply with quote Tokio Hotel: “Our life”
Bill (17), Georg (19), Tom (17) and Gustav (18) have a reason to be happy – their newest release, “Zimmer 483” made it to the top of the German charts within the first week and also went to number two in France! No other German band has ever succeeded in this. Apart from that, the boys are looking forward to their tour that will start in April. During the photo-shooting for Yam! in Mannheim the boys presented themselves as relaxed and cheerful as ever and were talking happily.
Yam: Your tour starts soon. How do you prepare for it? Do you do any sport to make sure you're fit?
Georg: No, the tour is our training. Tom: Fit into spring with our live-shows! (laughs) Georg. Of course you should prepare by doing some sport, but we're usually just too lazy. Once in a while, I train a bit, but not much. Tom: You need to be fit on tour, but we all haven't got any. The last tour worked without it ayway. Gustav: Hey, I am fit. I ride my bike a lot. Tom: I am fit in other areas... (smiles)
Do you eat healthy on tour?
Tom: No, we usually eat fast food. We are on the road a lot and more or less depend on the food you get at the rest-stops. Georg: But somehow, I am sick of it... Tom: I still like it. I like eating it. But we always have fruit backstage. Our catering woman makes a great fruit-salad that we all love.
What's your favourite food?
Tom: I love burgers, pasta and rice pudding. Gustav: I love paella with prawns. Georg: Oh that's not for me. I rather like pizze. Bill: Me too!
What else have you planned for 2007, apart from the tour?
Bill: I am still busy with recording the English album. The boys have already recorded the instrumental part and have time off since then. My recording is happening, but it's still unclear when I will be finished.
And when will you be touring in foreign countries?
Bill: That's not decided on yet – when we will tour in other countries like England, where we will also have releases. Tom: We just let it happen – like Russia and France. That's why there are not detailed plnson when we will be where. First, we have to do this tour. Then we'll see.
Which other wishes do you have as a band and for your private life?
Bill: I want the tour to go well. The last tour was the best thing that ever happened in our lives! Apart from that, I don't dare to make a wish because if things stay as they are, our lives would be perfect. It can't get better. And my private life – maybe I'll find a girlfriend. That would be nice, but I don't want to force it.
Talking about girlfriends – Bill, you don't like adventures. Tom, what does it look like with girls for you?
Tom: There is a lot of adventure for me. But nothing serious at the moment. If I want something serious, there had to be something big between us. But of course you have little things here and there, sure.
How do you upset one another?
Georg: When I sleep in late, everyone is upset. Bill: True, I hate people who are not on time. Gustav: But we had to wait for you quite a few times, too... Bill: (upset) Yes, but only for five minutes or so. I am pretty on time and reliable normally.
Tom and Bill, you turn 18 in September – what about getting a driver's licence?
Tom: We plan to do it before out 18th birthday. I want to get into a car at midnight, preferably a cool sport's car.
Bill, is it true that you have a certain dream?
Bill: That's not a realistic wish, but I'd like to be invisible. It would be cool, to be invisible, not forever but when I want to. You can go everywhere, watch people, sit into every conference of conversation. That is a great idea. I like stuff that is a bit supernatural.
Bill, in the beginning you had this manga-hairstyle, not you wear this wild, long styled hairstyle – when will there be a new look?
Bill: Usually, I wake up in the morning thinking “Hey, I don't want to walk around looking like this anymore!” And then I change something. But I am quite fine with my present hairstyle and I have no new look planned yet.
But which style would you like?
Bill: Blond wouldn't be bad. I don't know what it would look like, but I'd like to have my hair blond. If I change my hair, it always had to be a huge change.
What ringtones do you currently have on your cellphones?
Bill: We have no special sounds or songs, just those that are on the phone anyway.
