Do you go the Tazuma-shop yourself or do you let them send it to you?
Bill: No, I go there by myself. In any case, I buy my own clothes.
How are you doing in school?
Bill: Tom and I are doing an online-school, the work gets send to us, we make it and we send it back. Next year we’re doing our finals. Then we make up our subscriptions
Georg: I have my diploma, I’m done.
Bill: And Gustav is actually also finished and is doing his finals.
Tom, why don’t you take off your cap?
Tom: No idea. Why does Georg let his hair down? Maybe because I like it this way. I only let my hair down when I sleep. I just realized that, at one point, I started wearing caps and since then I wear caps. At the ’50 years of Tokio Hotel’ anniversary we’re throwing a party, then I’ll let my hair down. (grins)
When was the last time when you were home and you did something with your friends and family?
Bill: Was it this weekend, when I was at home? I always organise this bad.
Georg: Saturday and Sunday I was at home for a short time.
Tom: And on Monday, back into the studio.
Bill (to a girl): Oh, you’re wearing my bracelet, I just noticed.
The girl: Yese, we were shopping in the Tazuma-shop, they told us what you bought.
Bill (laughing): They’re very happy that now a lot of people buy stuff there.
What was your last dream? What was it about?
Tom: Before the concert in Gelsenkirchen, I’ve dreamt about this concert.
What’s ‘shit’ about being a celeb
Bill: Sometimes it’s not that nice that you don’t have very much of a private life.
Georg: But that’s a part of being famous.
What’s the weirdest thing that you’ve ever done?
Tom: In any case I’m a holding-back, shy person. What weird have I not done (everyone laughs). But, what’s weird, I think everything’s normal, actually.
What would you do for the girl you love?
Tom: It comes down to what she desires.
Georg: When you’re in love, you’d do anything in any case.
Tom: A shame, I’ve never been really in love.
Everyone: Aaah.
Bill: That also depends on the girl. Many girls don’t like [I couldn’t really translate this, but it means something like ‘frills’ or ‘mishmash’.] About that it’s important that you can just say that you’re really in love.
What do you do when a fan is standing in front of you, crying and saying ‘I love you’?
Bill: I’ll probably hug her. Lately I met a girl like that. She walked by and turned around right again. I was just on the phone, and after five minutes she came back and asked ‘Can I hug you one time?’. I wanted to give her an autograph, but she didn’t want that, she stood there and wanted to be hugged. Sweet, isn’t it?
What do you have planned for after the open-air-tour?
Bill: When we’re not at a concert, we’re in the studio because we are working on our second album. And we’re in foreign countries, just at the end of the year we’re having a concert in Russia.
Do you actually hear the fans, when you have your In-Ears in your ears, or is it only one loud mass?
Bill: My In-Ears have filters, they can be opened and closed by a computer. When a song ends, they are opened and then I can hear the audience scream or sing along.
Georg: We have that you only hear the bass or the guitar.
So you can’t hear the fans?
Tom: There are microphones everywhere, and the audience always gets through again.
Bill: Yes, I can hear more from the fans, because I work with the audience the most.
Tom: No, you don’t have to focus, you don’t have an instrument.
Gustav & Georg: Yeeeeaaahhh, true!
What would you do if you were invisible for a day?
Tom: I would sit in a café and simply look at everyone.
Bill: I would probably go out on the streets and try to let people trip over my leg. Or tip a glass over someone.
Georg: I would go to a girls dressing room.
What do you do when the ‘curtain falls’, after the concert?
Georg: Mostly, go to eat something and then simply go to sleep, because it’s relatively tiring.
Bill: Most of the time we sit together with the crew of the concert-place and talk about the concert. And then we go to the hotel.
How long do you take to buy something, do you still go shopping?
Bill: I do the most shopping, from all four of us. We rarely go together with all four of us, really one for oneself.
Tom: But not that showy
Bill: Yes, we’re disguised, we wear hats and hoods down.
Have you had a strange dream once?
Tom: Strangely enough, I just had a nightmare. Puh, I don’t really know, I’m not a ‘dream-person’.
Bill: I can’t remember them properly.
What was the weirdest that was on a banner/poster that a fan had made?
Bill: “Fick mich durch den Monsun.”
Tom: Once on a poster there was “Fick DICH durch den Monsun”! They wrote it wrong because they didn’t know German that well. I thought it was funny.
Bill, how did you get the nickname ‘Macky’?
Bill: Where did you get that from? Actually we don’t have nicknames, because our names are so short. Also my last name, I was called ‘Kaulitz’ in school. In the band it sometimes happens that someone calls another one ‘Macky’.
Georg: Yeah, because you like to eat at MacDonalds.
What are you going to do when you have nothing to do with the band?
Georg: Then we’re at home with our family, talking and watching TV.
Bill: I also just sleep.
Tom: Sleeping, eating, watching TV and writing songs. Meet friends and being on the road, but mostly sleeping
