We like to think of ourselves as a mini United Nations here, so we were delighted when the nice young Germans of Tokio Hotel stopped by the office today, hair and all.
Anyway, the band’s English language album Scream drops here tomorrow — it’s already out in Europe, which is why so many shrieking American tweens have all the lyrics memorized. Anime porcupine/frontboy Bill said it was pretty weird recording songs in English that he was used to singing in German. His favorite track to do live off the album is title song, while twin Tom favors “Read, Set, Go!” But don’t worry — they agree on, like, everything else!

Tokio Hotel in celebra ROLLING STONE

Tokio hotel are on a promotional trip through America, to promote there English album Scream (Schrei). During several shows the four German boys are celebrated by the fans, the record is on number 13 at the American I Tunes charts. Still rising.
The famous Times Square in new York is decorated with huge banners of the band, there music is going like crazy at TV music channel MTV.
“When we were driving on Times Square Thursday night , I have seen the MTV banners totally unexpected and it really frightened me”, tells Bill Kaulitz to BILD. “That is really awesome, what is happening right now here in new York. After all the cancelled US concerts I expected way less.”
Bill had to take a forced break because of his vocal cord surery for five weeks. Almost all sold out concerts had to be cancelled. Nevertheless, the success of the band in the USA is unstoppable.
Bill’s twinbrother Tom Kaulitz tells BILD: “I am so excited about the big fan turnout here. Also that we were on place 13 of the American I Tunes charts on the second day already, has completely blown me away. I don’t understand it at all though. All the US fans have already gotten our songs from Europe and over the internet and can already sing all the songs for months.”
Tom goes on: “During the last US trip three months ago I was already signing Scream cd’s that the fans got from Italy and other country’s where they ordered it. I don’t know why they would buy it again now, but it makes me happy off course.”
Today the boys are on the US talkshow “Conan O’Brian”. Sunday they will give a big concert in Los Angeles.
Tokio Hotel have got the wind in there backs and can make it in America to big superstars!

Tokio Hotel conquers America!
Tokio Hotel's triumphal procession through the U.S. continues. After sold-out concerts in many American cities, the boys performed at MTV TRL this week.
Now the boys take off!
For the first time they appeared in an American TV show and that was resoundingly successful. As they performed their song "Ready, Set, Go", the U.S. fans could not stop themselves. VJane Damien Fahey was busy to keep the screaming fans away from stage. Bill and Co kept cool and went through with their show professionally.
In America, the four Magdeburg guys are on promotion for their English-language album "Scream". At their promotional tour, they are going to meet the biggest U.S. media. Today, for example, they have an interview with the legendary music magazine "Rolling Stone". Tomorrow they will be at the popular late-night show of Conan O'Brien and on May 13th Tokio Hotel play live at the "Avalon" in Hollywood.
With so much hype in U.S., however Germany does not fall entirely into oblivion: The date of Bill's first home game after the vocal chord surgery is fixed: On June 13th, they are going to rock the Westfalenhalle in Dortmund - with a new voice and perhaps a new look. Most recently namely Bill was seen without his mega-mane.
